This holiday season, SLC Strength & Conditioning has partnered with the Utah Food Bank and we’re excited to be hosting our very first Food & Fund Drive!
Did you know that 392,000 Utahns, which equates to 1 in 8 Utahns, are at risk of missing a meal today? Even more alarming is that 1 in 6 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from. We feel that no one should have to go to bed hungry in Utah and with your support, and Utah Food Bank’s purchasing power, we can truly make a difference in the lives of Utahns facing hunger!
Our goal is to raise 500 lbs. of food donations by December 30th and we need your help!
The Utah Food Bank is making this easier than ever this year and is providing barrels that will be dropped off at the facility next week for your food donations or you’re welcome to donate groceries or funds online using the following weblink: http://fighthunger.utahfoodbank.org/site/TR/ALL/General?px=1137396&pg=personal&fr_id=1070
Donating to our Virtual Food & Fund Drive is easy! Just select the items you would like Utah Food Bank to purchase on your behalf OR select the cash item to allow Utah Food Bank to utilize your donation where it’s most needed. Then check out and follow the steps to enter your payment information.
If you choose to donate goods at the facility, the Utah Food Bank would like you to consider the following:
We request that food donations meet the following criteria:
- All natural ingredients
- Low sodium
- Low sugar
- No high fructose corn syrup
Most needed food items:
- Peanut Butter
- Mac & Cheese
- Canned Meats (tuna, chicken or beef)
- Canned Fruits
- Other Boxed Meals
