With over ten years of experience in the science and administration field of Exercise Science and Physiology, Stephen has advanced knowledge of biomechanics, kinesiology, human anatomy and physiology, with emphasis in muscular development and injury prevention. With his previous experience working with and progressing athletes at the collegiate and professional level, he specializes in strength and conditioning programming and individualized training for groups of all sizes and ages. His training protocols are devoted towards injury prevention, functional movement, joint stability, core strength, full body strength, rehabilitation, weight loss, conditioning, body composition and much more.

Originally from Manchester, England, Luke’s experience in Strength and Conditioning and his desire to educate as he coaches attract what many people are looking for. His time spent as a Division 1 Football Strength and Conditioning Coach taught him the importance of communication, expert instruction, and enthusiasm which works synergistically to bring custom individualized training. Luke strives to help all who he works with identify their weak points and turn them into strengths. His focuses are on strength and power development, corrective exercise, and proper movement and stability coaching.
Luke’s passion for exercise and training continues to grow as he endeavors to share his knowledge with others, and help them meet their performance goals while engaging in work that creates progression in all areas of life.
Luke strongly believes that participating in competitive or rigorous pursuits do not need to end after one is done with high school or university sports. In his free time, you can find him backpacking local trails, fly-fishing, hunting, and competing in local Strongman and Highland Games which Luke has podiumed numerous times (yes, he wears a kilt).

Strength & Conditioning Coach (Olympic Sports) Utah State University 2022-2024
Teams: track and field, men’s & women’s basketball, women’s soccer, softball, golf, and gymnastics.
Research Neuromuscular Lab at Utah State University: researched the efficacy of depth and countermovement jump parameters as a recovery monitoring tool following exercise-induced muscle damage. The primary objective is the examination of the efficacy of force plate GRF-derived data from depth and countermovement jump tests to track performance-reduced recovery following a bout of eccentric exercise.
Biomechanics and Sport Science Lab at Utah Tech University: studied Barbell kinematics and power with and without leg drive in barbell bench press lift. This study aimed to quantify the effects of leg drive on bench press performance. Data was collected using 3D motion capture and force plates.
Nate moved from Boise, ID to Salt Lake City to study at the University of Utah where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health and kinesiology. After graduating, Nate gained valuable experience working in the University of Utah’s Sports Performance Department. During his time there he was assigned to work with the baseball, softball, men’s lacrosse, track & field, and women’s soccer teams. All teams had stellar seasons and showed successful player development. In March 2024, Nate joined SLC Strength & Conditioning as an assistant coach while continuing to work with the sports performance department. Nate quickly excelled in coaching with us and seeing his success with teams at the U made it an easy decision to promote him to a full-time strength & conditioning coach.

Danielle was born and raised in Utah. After spending two years in California earning an Associates Degree in Fashion Design, she decided to move home to be closer to the mountains. Danielle and her husband, Ryan, started training at SLC Strength & Conditioning not long after it opened and have loved being a part of the community. In her free time you’ll find her chasing a toddler, laughing at her husband, sewing, or adventuring in the mountains.
Experience in healthcare, diagnostic stress testing, and education with an extensive background in direct patient care, patient education, human physiology and anatomy, and more recently, technical education, development and implementation. Kristy gained the necessary skills and knowledge in the Exercise Science and Physiology field through her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and previous employment at Intermountain Healthcare and the University of Utah Healthcare, and continues to practice her expertise in employee training, development, and implementation at Myriad Genetics Inc. She currently holds advanced certifications through the American Heart Association, the National Board of Respiratory Care, and Training.

Kristy developed a passion for educating the community on the importance of exercise and nutrition early on in life and earned her Gold Award with the Girl Scouts of Utah for a community outreach program that she was able to implement in several elementary schools in Utah. She also won First Place with the Health Occupation Student Association for a similar educational program that was implemented in several middle schools and high schools throughout Utah.
Pat has worked with numerous companies and organizations on both their video needs and to help build and improve their websites. While pursuing filmmaking throughout college and beyond, he’s remained intrigued about the power of web technology. He’s always up to experiment with the newest technology or help companies create the video content they need. Pat has experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Python, WordPress, Video Editing and FX, and the Adobe Creative Suite. He’s currently learning Java because why not? We’ll see how that goes…
